- Enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their educational journey
- Confident in supporting children’s learning, whether in the classroom or on a one-to-one basis with students who may have additional needs
- Able to create an inclusive learning environment that nurtures both academic progress and student well-being
- A strong communicator who can build effective relationships with both students and colleagues
- Adaptable, patient, and calm in different situations, including working with children who have varying needs
- Committed to fostering equality and inclusivity within the school
- Right to Work in the UK
- A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (or willingness to undertake one)
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Assist in the classroom, supporting the teacher with lesson delivery and student engagement
- Work with individual students or small groups, including those with additional needs, to help them achieve their learning goals
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCO to promote academic, social, and emotional development
- Provide feedback on student progress to the teacher and, where appropriate, the SENDCO and parents
- Support the use of technology and resources to enhance student learning
- Ensure the classroom is a safe, supportive, and welcoming space for all students
