As a Teaching Assistant in our resource base, you will work closely with the SEN team to provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of needs. Your role will include:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with students who have special educational needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual learning plans.
- Supporting students in accessing the curriculum in a way that meets their needs.
- Helping with personal care, where necessary.
- Promoting inclusion and social interaction within the classroom.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
- Experienced in working with children, preferably in a resource base or similar environment (though this is not essential).
- A strong communicator, able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to take on additional training to enhance your skills in SEN support.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A good understanding of SEN.
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
