The school provides a supportive, inclusive environment for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), speech and language challenges, and Autism (ASD). The dedicated staff are committed to fostering a nurturing atmosphere where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to individual student needs, following the school’s curriculum
- Use a range of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, parents, and other specialists to support each student’s learning and development
- Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to lesson plans where necessary
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEN (particularly MLD, SLD, ASD, and speech & language difficulties)
- A solid understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to collaborate effectively with other staff members and support professionals
- A passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to helping children with SEN thrive.
Pay: £160.00 per day (PAYE) + Holiday Pay For longer-term cover roles, pay will be based on your teaching scale
