Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, ensuring they have access to a tailored and inclusive learning experience.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Educational and Health Care Plans (EHCP) and adapt resources to meet students' needs.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, encouraging social and academic development.
- Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a safe, supportive setting for all pupils.
- Providing emotional and behavioural support, fostering a nurturing relationship with the children in your care.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting, is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with diverse needs.
- A strong ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
- Relevant qualifications in child care or education are preferred but not essential.
