Do you have a passion for working with children?

A local school in Bracknell is looking for someone to provide 1:1 support for a child working with special needs. The role is based in a mainstream school and you will be surrounded by a supportive team, who are there to guide you. You may sometimes also be supporting the whole class alongside the class Teacher or take small groups of children out to focus on specific activities. You should have a good knowledge of how to keep children with special educational needs focused and motivated as well as engaged. It is important that you are able to creatively deliver activities with a high level of patience.

Responsibilities:
  • You will need to work closely with one child, it is important to build a strong rapport and pick up on the student's behaviour and learning patterns.
  • You will have to make sure your activities are well prepped with appropriate resources.
  • You will also collaborate with the class teacher as well as the other staff in the department so you should be a good team player.
Requirements:
  • You should have experience working with children in a school setting.
  • You will also need an Enhanced Child DBS, it is preferable that your DBS is on the update system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal are a must.
  • You should also hold the right to work in the UK.
