Supply Hive are supporting a school at the heart of leafy Woosehill to find a Teaching Assistant with some SEN knowledge. The school is a 2 form-entry and has a strong sense of community. They pride themselves on having a well-equipped attractive building with spacious ground, allowing children to be as creative and active as possible. They dedicate themselves to providing a memorable, professional and positive place for the children to learn but also for the staff to thrive. This role is full time and will begin as temporary but has a lot of potential to go permanent with good performance. 

The successful candidate will be creative and passionately engage children in their learning, pushing them to meet high expectations in both their academic learning but also their social development and well-being. You will be working with a child with special educational needs so it is important that you have some knowledge of how to support children with SEN/ASD/SEMH as well as being patient and inspiring. You will also be working with small groups of children, leading activities and interventions and supporting children with their learning. 

To be successful for this role you should have some experience working with children in a relevant field. You should also have an enhanced child DBS and the right to work in the UK. You must have strong interpersonal skills and communicational skills as you will be supporting children with both their verbal and written development. You will also need to be an enthusiastic and positive individual with a drive to learn and work well in a team.
