📚Supply Hive are currently supporting a larger school in the centre of Wokingham who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a child with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis. The school have been given a 'Good' by OFSTED and have been complimented for having strong and supportive management, that put the needs of their staff first. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality support to both schools and candidates, ensuring the best possible outcomes for education. Although this role starts off as temporary, there is potential of a permanent contract with this school. 

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team for a long-term placement at a reputable school in Wokingham City Centre. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance.
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and materials to support teaching and learning.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting the learning needs of students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A patient and compassionate approach to working with children.
