We are looking for a proactive and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Slough. This role involves providing support to children with special educational needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons that accommodate the needs of children with special educational needs.
  • Offer individualised assistance to children, addressing their learning needs and assisting them in achieving academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with the SENCo, teachers, and other staff members to devise and implement effective strategies for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Record and monitor the progress of the children, identifying areas for improvement and liaising with relevant staff members.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring all children feel valued and included.
  • Maintain regular and open communication with parents, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
