We are currently seeking an experienced nursery assistant, devoted to encouraging the learning and development of our youngest learners! A new, full time position has opened up at lovely Primary School in a surrounding village area in Wycombe. The school are an Ofsted Outstanding school with an incredible SLT who are supportive and friendly! 

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in an exciting nursery class! It is important that the candidate understands the value of having a focus on building confidence, encouraging social skills and developing learning through play. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Assist the class teacher with developing engaging and creative lessons that promote the social, emotional and intellectual development of learners. 
  • Work in a team to ensure a safe and creative learning environment. 
  • Prioritise the children and encourage learning through play. 
  • Assist children with personal care tasks while ensuring their protection and well being as all times. 
  • Make observations and relay the development of children to the nursery teacher and/or parents. 

Requirements:
  • A L3 qualification or equivalent in Early Years Education is preferred but not required. 
  • Experience working with children in a comparable early years childhood setting. 
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to work well in a team and communicate observations to teachers and parents. 
  • A nurturing and compassionate approach that aligns with the schools ethos of fostering the growth of young children. 

Qualifications:
  • A valid, Enhanced DBS on the Update service. 
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training. 
  • Skills that relate to childcare and working with children.
