Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children, assisting with their learning and development.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Support students in understanding and completing tasks, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Monitor progress, behaviour, and attendance, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure effective communication and student support.
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of teaching materials.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a Year 6 or primary school setting.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and an understanding of Year 6 educational objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
- Organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
