A Primary School in Slough is seeking a proactive and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 class. This is an exciting opportunity to support childrens' learning and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children, assisting with their learning and development.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
  • Support students in understanding and completing tasks, offering guidance and encouragement.
  • Monitor progress, behaviour, and attendance, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure effective communication and student support.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of teaching materials.
Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a Year 6 or primary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and an understanding of Year 6 educational objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
