Responsibilities:
- Create a vibrant and engaging learning environment for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote holistic development across all areas of learning.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
- Implement effective strategies to promote early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills development.
- Conduct regular assessments to track individual progress and tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues, maintaining open lines of communication.
- Collaborate with the EYFS team to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor and provide feedback on students' progress to parents/guardians, including written reports and parent-teacher meetings.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of best practices in early childhood education.
- Promote a safe and stimulating learning environment, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specialising in early years education.
- Proven experience in teaching the EYFS curriculum, ideally within a school setting.
- Deep understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and assessment procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young children and parents/guardians.
- Creativity and enthusiasm in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a dedicated team.
- Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
