Are you an energetic and compassionate individual with a background in sport coaching and a passion for working with children? We are currently seeking a skilled sports coach/teaching assistant to join our team at a local specialist school!
The successful candidate with work alongside teachers and specialists to support the personal and educational development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), with a focus on students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist class teachers with the development and implementation of educational programs tailored to the unique needs of each child.
  • Promoting students personal, social and educational development through physical health, teamwork and confidence building activities.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment where students feel motivated and valued.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers, therapists and other support staff.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment where students can develop healthy habits and resilience.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs in a sports or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • An understanding of how individual SEMH needs may effect learning and personal development.
  • A valid and enhanced DBS check.
  • Up to date safeguarding training.
Pay: £95.00 per day PAYE & Holiday Pay.
