We are currently seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a student on an individual basis in a school setting in Wokingham. The school is an OFSTED 'Good' and has a very supportive team that push for excellence, they are looking for a confident and interactive individual to help motivate their pupils. This role is currently temporary but has the potential to go permanent with good performance.

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students who require additional assistance, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience to effectively support students with diverse learning needs and overcome challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting students with SEN, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, is desirable but not essential.
