The Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a long-term position at a friendly and supportive two-form entry school in central Reading. The school has been rated 'Good' by OFSTED and is known for its welcoming environment and strong commitment to student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning and development.
- Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the implementation of EHCPs for students with SEN.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
- Previous experience working with is essential. Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
