The Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a long-term position at a friendly and supportive two-form entry school in central Reading. The school has been rated 'Good' by OFSTED and is known for its welcoming environment and strong commitment to student development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning and development.
  • Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the implementation of EHCPs for students with SEN.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with is essential. Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the well-being and educational development of all students.
