Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons to Year KS2 students.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support or guidance.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Supervise and support students during classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher as required.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff and parents/guardians to address individual student needs.
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the development of young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A patient and empathetic approach when working with children, particularly those with additional learning needs.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare would be advantageous.
