Are you passionate about supporting children's education and development? Do you thrive in a collaborative and dynamic educational environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at our lovely school in Burnham.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons to Year KS2 students.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support or guidance.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Supervise and support students during classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher as required.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff and parents/guardians to address individual student needs.
  • Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A patient and empathetic approach when working with children, particularly those with additional learning needs.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare would be advantageous.
