Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to further your skills in education? Do you have experience with children with additional needs?

Supply Hive are seeking an SEN teaching assistant to join one of our Slough Infant Schools to support a child in Reception class with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will be able to provide individual support and guidance to this child to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualised support to the child in both classroom and extracurricular activities. Your key duties will include collaborating with the class teacher and other colleagues to create personalised learning plans for the student, monitoring their progress, promoting their emotional and social growth through positive reinforcement, and encouraging them to participate in classroom activities and develop their independence.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in working with children with SEMH needs, ideally in a classroom context. Additionally, you must demonstrate good communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with teachers and other colleagues. A willingness to learn and adapt to new approaches and teaching methods is a must, as is a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward teaching and learning.
