We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiatic and committed KS1 Teacher to join our team in Year 1 at one of our lovely partner schools in Burnham. This position will commence in September for the start of the new academic year with the option for the candidate to review the placement each term. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a desire to make a positive impact on children's learning and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects specifically tailored to meet the needs of the Year 1 children, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Utilize a variety of assessment methods to evaluate progress and use data to inform instructional decisions, providing targeted support and differentiation as necessary.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom culture where all Year 1 children feel valued, respected, and motivated to engage in their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and instructional strategies that promote achievement and well-being within the cohort.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continuously enhance teaching effectiveness and contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in primary schools, preferably in Key Stage 1
  • Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills specific to Year 1 curriculum requirements
  • Dedication to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters the holistic development of all children
