Are you a dedicated teaching assistant with a passion for working with children and supporting with Special Educational Needs. We are currently working alongside a local Primary school who need a Year 4 Learning Support Assistant to work with a child who had neurodiverse needs with an EHCP. The role is to to start in in the summer term, or as soon as possible! 

Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • A strong understanding of working with children with additional needs and how to tailor the primary national curriculum for the individual child.
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills that prove your ability to work well in a team. 
  • A general passion and drive for working with children and having a positive impact on the learning development of young children. 
  • Provide the child a level of support and connection that is agreed on by the teacher and EHCP, while also challenging and motivating the child in a way that fosters and reinforces positive self-esteem. 
  • Comply with and uphold safeguarding policies and procedures that ensure the protection and safety of children. 

  • A Level 2 Qualification in childcare is preferred but not required.
  • A valid, Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service. 
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training.
