We are currently seeking a warm and friendly Teaching Assistant to join our Year 5 team at a local Chesham Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you need to be adaptable and proactive in as you will be influential in the learning and developemnt of young children. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, catering to the individual needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs or those requiring additional assistance.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting good behaviour and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
  • Support the preparation and organization of teaching materials, resources, and equipment.
  • Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to the teacher to aid in individualized planning.
 
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong organizational skills to assist in managing classroom activities and resources effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
 
Qualifications:
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred, but not essential.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check will be required to work with children.
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Any additional qualifications or training related to education or child development will be considered advantageous.
