We are looking for a skilled and driven Year 6 Class Teacher to join our dynamic team at our junior school in Slough.

Situated in the centre of Slough, our junior school provides a dynamic and welcoming environment. We work hard to provide an engaging learning atmosphere where each child is motivated to realise their greatest potential. We hope to foster an environment of respect for one another and a passion for learning with the help of our committed staff, understanding parents, and engaged students.
 
Responsibilities

  • Create and present interesting and innovative lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Encourage students' intellectual, social, and emotional development by creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment in the classroom.
  • Establish high standards for behaviour and academic performance in students, and provide them the assistance and direction they need to reach them.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to children and parents.
  • Work together to create and carry out cross-curricular projects and activities with colleagues.
  • Retain good communication with parents, answering any worries they may have promptly and providing updates on their child's development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities to give back to the larger school community.

 
Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or its equivalent, with previous Key Stage 2 teaching experience (preferable year 6 experience).
  • A solid grasp of the national curriculum and an awareness of successful primary education teaching techniques.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to foster a good rapport with coworkers, parents, and students.
  • Efficient behaviour management in the classroom and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
