1:1 SEN TA

A fantastic specialist setting in Slough is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism. This is a rewarding role where you’ll be part of a highly supportive team who genuinely value consistency, structure and individualised support.
You’ll be supporting pupils across primary and/or secondary ages depending on experience, helping them access learning in a way that feels safe, predictable and engaging.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
• Supporting communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation
• Using structured approaches to learning and transitions
• Helping to implement EHCP targets
• Creating a calm, supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Experience supporting children/young people with ASD (school or care background welcome)
• Understanding of sensory needs and communication differences
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach
• Ability to follow structure and routines consistently
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
