About the Role
Supply Hive is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full time from September. The school supports children with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and moderate learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children both academically and emotionally in a nurturing learning environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to support pupils throughout the school day. You may provide 1:1 support or work with small groups, helping children stay engaged with learning, develop social skills and build confidence in the classroom. The school is looking for someone patient, enthusiastic and proactive, who can build strong relationships with pupils and adapt to their individual needs.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role, as well as the Right to Work in the UK. Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Responsibilities 🌟
- Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher with preparing and delivering learning activities
- Encourage pupil engagement, communication and independence
- Support children with emotional regulation and behaviour where needed
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A patient, nurturing and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to individual pupil needs
- Relevant TA qualification or childcare experience is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
