About the Role
Looking for a role where your experience can genuinely make a difference?
Supply Hive are working with a specialist alternative provision in Aylesbury that supports young people aged 15–25 who need a more practical, personalised approach to learning. They’re launching an exciting new Introduction to Catering course, based in a fully functioning on-site café — and are looking for the right person to bring it to life.
This is a brilliant opportunity to shape a course from the ground up, creating a hands-on learning environment where young people can build confidence, develop real-life skills, and experience the day-to-day rhythm of working in a café.
The setting supports learners with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, including autism, ADHD, and anxiety. Many have struggled in mainstream education, so the focus is on calm, practical learning, strong relationships, and celebrating small wins that lead to big progress.
The role:
You’ll lead engaging, practical sessions covering key catering and hospitality skills — from food prep and basic cooking to hygiene, teamwork, and customer service. Using the café as your classroom, you’ll help learners develop confidence, independence, and employability skills in a supportive, real-world environment.
You’ll work closely with support staff and the wider team, using a patient, consistent approach to behaviour and engagement.
