Cover Supervisor

We’re working alongside a vibrant secondary school in Maidenhead that’s looking for a Cover Supervisor to step into an important role within their team. The school has a warm, community feel and prides itself on creating a supportive environment for both staff and students. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team who will offer guidance and training to help you succeed in the role.

Responsibilities 

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Support students with their learning, encouraging engagement and participation.
• Ensure that work is completed to a high standard and handed back to teachers for feedback.
• Uphold the school’s values and safeguarding expectations at all times.

Requirements 

• Experience working with young people (school, youth work, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
• A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
