Food Tech Teacher

Supply Hive are working with a fantastic mainstream secondary school in Slough who are seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department from January 2026. The school has a warm, inclusive ethos and is committed to supporting every student to achieve their best. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team who value creativity, consistency, and genuine passion for teaching.
As the Food Technology Teacher, you’ll be delivering engaging practical and theory lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school encourages innovative teaching and provides excellent facilities, including a fully equipped food room and strong technical support.

Responsibilities 

• Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that inspire and motivate students.
• Prepare resources and practical lessons safely and effectively.
• Track and assess student progress, providing feedback to support development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the DT department and across the wider school.

Requirements 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the Food Preparation & Nutrition curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
