About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced PMLD Teacher to join a supportive special school in High Wycombe. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a small group of pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, providing tailored learning experiences that really make a difference every day. In this role, you’ll plan and deliver lessons and activities adapted to the needs of pupils with PMLD, focusing on communication, sensory experiences, and personalised learning. You’ll work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create an environment where every child can thrive and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly personalised learning experiences for pupils with PMLD
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting approaches to individual needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils
- Liaise with families and external professionals to support pupil development
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with PMLD or similar complex needs
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Patience, empathy, and an engaging approach with children
- Commitment to collaborative working and professional development
