As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in our nursery, you will provide dedicated support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation in all nursery activities. If this sounds like something you would be a good fit for, get in touch!
Responsibilities:
- Working with, understanding and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Adapting learning activities to suit the child's needs.
- Providing personalised assistance with academic tasks and social interactions.
- Maintaining open communication with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
- Previous experience working with children who have special needs.
- A genuine passion for education and the wellbeing of children.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to cultivate fun and positive learning environments.
- A level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred, but not essential.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check is required to work with children.
- Skills that relate to childcare and working with children.
