Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? A welcoming and inclusive school in Reading is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from the Summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values the development of both students and staff.
The role involves working closely with teachers to provide essential classroom support, helping students with their learning, and fostering an engaging and inclusive atmosphere. You will assist with small group work, one-on-one support, and general classroom activities to ensure every student has the best possible educational experience.
Responsibilities
✅ Supporting students in their learning, both in groups and one-to-one
✅ Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
✅ Encouraging student engagement and participation
✅ Providing additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
✅ Helping to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Requirements
🎓 Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is preferred
🎓 A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic attitude
🎓 Strong communication and teamwork skills
🎓 An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
🎓 A willingness to support children with different learning needs

If you carry out a long-term Teaching Assistant role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your scale.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
