Supply Hive LTD is a leading education recruitment agency dedicated to providing high-quality support staff to schools across Bracknell and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a student on an individual basis in a school setting in Bracknell.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support and assistance to a student with specific learning needs or requirements, ensuring they are able to fully engage with the curriculum and make progress academically and socially.
- Implement strategies and interventions outlined in the student's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their individual needs and abilities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to monitor the student's progress, provide feedback, and make adjustments to support their ongoing development.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a 1:1 capacity, with a strong understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to effectively support students with diverse learning needs and overcome challenges.
- Relevant qualifications or training in supporting students with SEN, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, is desirable but not essential.
