We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS1 SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific pupil who requires additional support due to special educational needs (SEN). You will play a crucial role in helping the pupil to access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and assistance to a KS1 pupil with SEN.
- Implement individualised learning plans and strategies tailored to the pupil's needs.
- Support the pupil in class activities, ensuring their engagement and understanding.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor the pupil's progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
- Collaborate with other staff members and external professionals involved in the pupil's support.
- Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
- Understanding of KS1 curriculum and educational strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
