We are seeking an enthusiastic 1 day a week part time Teaching Assistant to join Year 6 at a fantastic school in Maidenhead. This role involves supporting pupils at a key stage in their education, as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with older primary pupils and is motivated to make a positive difference in their final year of junior school.
Responsibilities:
🔵Support the Year 6 teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
🔵Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce understanding and encourage progress.
🔵Provide pastoral support, helping pupils to develop resilience and confidence.
🔵Assist in preparing resources and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
🔵Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
✅Previous experience working with children, ideally in Key Stage 2.
✅Strong communication skills.
✅Ability to work well as part of a team.
✅Reliability and commitment to attending every Monday during term-time.
✅DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
✅Right to work in the UK.
