We’re working with a lovely specialist school in High Wycombe that supports children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of complex learning needs, including autism, SLCN and PMLD. They’re currently looking for a class teacher to join in September – working with secondary-aged pupils on a curriculum that focuses on life skills, communication, and independence.
You’ll be part of a genuinely supportive team, where your contribution is valued and staff well being is a key priority.

What’s the role?
  • Full class teaching responsibilities for a small group of pupils with varied SEN
  • Leading a class team including TAs and additional specialist support
  • Creating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Planning creative, accessible lessons that support academic and life skill development
  • Using specialist strategies (e.g. SCERTS, low arousal) to support regulation and communication
  • Working closely with families and external professionals to meet individual needs
  • Tracking progress, planning next steps, and celebrating all achievements
  • Being a key part of school life – contributing to a warm, nurturing team

What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with SEN pupils
  • Someone calm, consistent and nurturing
  • A team player who’s confident leading a class team
  • High expectations, a sense of humour and a positive mindset

If you're interested, get in touch to find out more or arrange a visit to the school!

At Supply Hive, we specialise in SEN and have a close working relationship with this school. We don’t use umbrella companies – you’ll be paid fairly and to scale, with ongoing support from a friendly, people-first team.

Pay: To scale.
