I am working with a great primary school in Maidenhead that is currently looking for an engaging and committed Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team this term.
This is a full-time position working across KS1 and KS2 providing both 1:1 and small group support. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored assistance that promotes academic growth. Some pupils may have additional needs, including those supported by an EHCP.
Responsibilities:
🔵Offer classroom assistance to both the teacher and students
🔵Help implement targeted intervention activities
🔵Support pupils with SEND and encourage an inclusive learning environment
🔵Assist in maintaining positive behaviour and daily classroom routines
🔵Set up educational resources and materials
🔵Share observations and progress updates with teachers and, when needed, with parents
Requirements:
✅ Prior experience in a primary school environment is preferred
✅ Approachable, patient, and engaging approach
✅ Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s development
✅ Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
