This is a classroom-focused role where you’ll be working closely with the class teacher to help create an engaging and positive learning experience for pupils across KS1 and KS2. A key part of the role involves delivering targeted support, particularly for children with additional learning needs or special educational needs (SEND).
Responsibilities 📝:
- Support the class teacher throughout the day, helping to ensure lessons are engaging and run efficiently.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of intervention strategies and group activities.
- Offer inclusive support to pupils with SEND, encouraging their involvement and boosting self-confidence.
- Help promote a calm and orderly classroom environment through positive behaviour support.
- Organise classroom materials, resources, and teaching tools as needed.
- Experience working in a primary school setting or in a similar roles is preferred.
- Calm, adaptable, and patient approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
