A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Reading is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting class teachers, working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to help them thrive. You’ll be instrumental in promoting learning, encouraging engagement, and creating a positive and structured classroom environment. Responsibilities
🎯 Support pupils across a range of abilities, including those with SEN
📚 Assist with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
🧠 Help maintain a calm and encouraging learning atmosphere
🤝 Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
📝 Provide feedback on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements
✅ Experience working with children or young people (school-based or alternative settings)
✅ A genuine interest in education and supporting learning
✅ Patience, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills
✅ Ability to work effectively as part of a team
✅ Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (desirable)

If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
