In this role, you’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support pupils across a range of abilities, both inside and outside the classroom. You may also provide one-to-one or small group interventions, particularly for pupils with additional needs. Whether you're experienced or just beginning your career in education, the school offers excellent guidance and a collaborative staff team.
Responsibilities 📝
- Support pupils’ learning in class and during interventions
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children with additional needs, including those with SEN
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage participation
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Willingness to support children with a range of needs
- A valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
