A friendly primary school in Slough is looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Key Stage 1 pupil, starting in summer 2. This role is ideal for someone with a background in supporting children with special educational needs or anyone enthusiastic about gaining experience in a 1:1 support setting.
In this position, you'll be an essential part of the child’s learning journey, offering tailored, consistent support to help build their confidence and encourage their academic and personal development. You'll collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
🔵 Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 child with additional learning needs.
🔵 Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted strategies that align with the child's individual learning plan.
🔵 Contribute to a warm, inclusive classroom environment.
🔵 Assist the child in staying focused and encouraging positive behaviour to support steady engagement throughout the day.
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children with SEN is beneficial but not essential.
✅ Willingness to undertake relevant training or build on existing knowledge.
✅ Right to work in the UK.
✅ DBS registered on the update service, or be prepared to apply for one.
