1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil who requires additional, personalised support throughout the school day. This is a rewarding role where you can make a meaningful difference to a child’s progress, confidence and wellbeing.

✨ Responsibilities:

• Providing focused 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning, behavioural or emotional needs
• Helping the child access the curriculum by adapting tasks and breaking down instructions
• Supporting social skills, confidence and emotional regulation
• Assisting with transitions, routines and classroom engagement
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow support plans
• Maintaining a calm, patient and supportive presence at all times

✨ What the school is looking for:

• Experience working with children with SEND or in a 1:1 role (preferred)
• A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and consistency
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
