About the Role
A fantastic specialist setting in Slough is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism. This is a rewarding role where you’ll be part of a highly supportive team who genuinely value consistency, structure and individualised support.
You’ll be supporting pupils across primary and/or secondary ages depending on experience, helping them access learning in a way that feels safe, predictable and engaging.
Responsibilities

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role, as well as the Right to Work in the UK. Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
- Supporting communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation
- Using structured approaches to learning and transitions
- Helping to implement EHCP targets
- Creating a calm, supportive learning environment
- Experience supporting children/young people with ASD (school or care background welcome)
- Understanding of sensory needs and communication differences
- Patient, resilient and proactive approach
- Ability to follow structure and routines consistently
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
