Class based Teaching Assistant

Supply Hive is working with a welcoming primary school in Maidenhead who is seeking an engaging and committed general class based Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This role involves supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom, helping to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment for all pupils.

Responsibilities:

🟢 Support the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of lessons across the curriculum.
🟢 Assist with setting up learning materials, classroom resources, and displays to maintain an organised and stimulating environment.
🟢 Work with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning objectives and ensure understanding of key concepts.
🟢 Encourage active participation, positive behaviour, and strong classroom routines in line with the school’s policies.
🟢 Provide constructive feedback to pupils to support their academic progress and confidence.
🟢 Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the class teacher to inform planning and assessment.

Requirements:

✅ Previous experience working within a primary school classroom setting is desirable or other childcare/carer type position.
✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
✅ Organised, reliable, and able to use initiative when supporting learning activities.
✅ A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
✅ Right to work in the UK.
