About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to become part of a dynamic primary school team in Slough.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, working collaboratively with class teachers to enhance student progress and foster an engaging, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
🟣Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons and help implement various teaching strategies to support diverse learners.
🟣Collaborate with teachers to plan and prepare classroom activities, resources, and materials.
🟣Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teacher.
🟣Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment.
🟣Support children with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and special educational needs coordinators.
🟣Take responsibility for delivering small group or one-to-one interventions.
🟣Help set up and maintain classroom resources and materials.
Requirements:
🟣HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
🟣Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
🟣Solid understanding of the primary curriculum.
🟣Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
🟣Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
🟣Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
🟣A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and challenges.
🟣Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
