HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

We’re excited to be supporting a primary school in Marlow who are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as soon as possible.

The role will include providing high-quality classroom support and cover across all primary year groups, delivering planned lessons and supporting pupil progress in line with the EYFS Framework and National Curriculum.

Responsibilities:

🟢 Deliver whole-class lessons during teacher PPA, absence, or release time
🟢 Plan and prepare learning activities in line with EYFS and KS1 expectations
🟢 Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers
🟢 Lead phonics, reading, maths, and targeted intervention groups
🟢 Support pupils with SEND, implementing individual targets and programmes
🟢 Promote positive behaviour and contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
🟢 Support classroom organisation and continuous provision

Requirements:

☑️HLTA qualification/UQT or recent experience within the role.
☑️Proven experience in supporting classroom learning, including leading small groups or covering lessons.
☑️Confident communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour positively and consistently.
☑️Right to work in the UK
☑️DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one
