About the Role
Are you passionate about helping young people build confidence, independence and practical life skills?
We’re currently recruiting for an Achieve Lifeskills Tutor to join a specialist post-16 education setting in Reading, supporting young people aged 16–24 with EHCPs.
The Achieve Lifeskills programme is designed for young people who may need more than just qualifications. It supports learners to develop the practical, personal and emotional skills they need as they move towards adulthood — from managing money and maintaining wellbeing to building confidence and preparing for future opportunities.
This role combines the delivery of Functional Skills English and Maths at Entry Level and Level 1 with supporting learners across the Achieve programme.
Many of the young people you’ll work with have SEND and/or SEMH needs, so we’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships, maintain high expectations and adapt their approach to individual learners.
If you’re someone who understands that success looks different for every young person and enjoys helping learners achieve things they didn’t think were possible, this could be a great opportunity for you.
The Role
The organisation works with young people from a range of backgrounds and supports learners with SEND, SEMH needs and EHCPs who may have found mainstream education challenging.
At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of students. We offer full assistance to make sure everything is in place before you start.
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
