About the Role
A specialist alternative education provider in High Wycombe is looking for a hands-on, practical individual to support and teach young people aged 15–25. Many of the learners have struggled in traditional education settings but thrive when learning through practical, workshop-based activities. The organisation provides alternative education programmes for young people aged 15–25 who may find mainstream education challenging. Many learners have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Programmes focus on vocational learning, functional skills and personal development, helping young people build confidence and progress towards employment, further education or training.
Learners often respond best to practical, hands-on learning, which is why the Motor Mechanics programme is an exciting new addition.
This role would suit someone with experience in motor mechanics, engineering, or a practical trade who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping young people build confidence and skills for the future.
Key Responsibilities
All applicants must have the appropriate right to work in the UK. Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Ready to Make a Difference?
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher. What matters most is your ability to build positive relationships with young people and create a supportive learning environment. Full training and support will be provided- Apply today and take the next step in a role where your skills can help young people build confidence and a brighter future.
