Part time 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Supply Hive are supporting a school in Maidenhead who is looking for a SEN experienced Part Time Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to a Year 3 pupil with ADHD.

The hours of the role involve working 11am-2.30pm Monday to Thursday, ensuring the child can fully access learning and manage their behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and have a compassionate, patient approach.

Responsibilities:

🟢 Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum during afternoon lessons.
🟢Implement individual strategies and interventions tailored to the child’s needs.
🟢 Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies.
🟢 Encourage positive social interactions and independence.
🟢 Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
🟢 Support small group or one-to-one learning activities as required.
🟢 Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistency of support.
 
Requirements:
 
✅Proven experience supporting children with ADHD or other SEN.
✅Understanding of strategies for managing attention and behaviour difficulties.
✅Right to work in the UK.
✅DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
