About the Role
Supply Hive is supporting a caring and inclusive primary school in High Wycombe to find an experienced Reception Teacher on a part-time basis, starting this term until the end of the academic year in July 2026.
This friendly school is well-established within the local community and is a one-form entry primary school.
Responsibilities:
🔵 Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons for Reception-aged children, fostering early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
🔵 Observe, assess, and track children’s development, providing feedback to support progress across all areas of learning.
🔵 Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
🔵 Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the well-being and development of every child.
🔵 Support the smooth daily routines of a Reception classroom, including snack time, outdoor play, and transitions.
🔵 Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies, enrichment activities, and team meetings.
🔵 Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and child-centred learning.
Requirements:
✅ Be a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception).
✅ Have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
✅ Experience in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
✅ Available for the duration of the placement on a part-time basis.
✅ DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
