About the Role
Supply Hive is supporting a welcoming and supportive primary school in Slough that is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work within its Specialist Resource Provision to start as soon as possible.
This role is based in a dedicated specialist setting within the school, supporting pupils with complex additional needs. You will play a vital role in creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
🟢 Provide targeted, individualised support to pupils within the Specialist Resource Provision, using a range of strategies to promote communication, engagement, and learning.
🟢 Support the delivery of personalised learning programmes and behaviour plans, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
🟢 Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction through structured routines and tailored activities.
🟢 Support emotional well-being and sensory regulation, helping pupils to remain calm, focused, and ready to learn.
🟢 Work collaboratively with specialist staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent and high-quality support.
🟢 Monitor progress and record observations, contributing to reviews and sharing feedback to help inform next steps in learning.
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children with SEN is essential.
✅ A patient, empathetic, and approachable nature with strong communication skills.
✅ A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to individual needs.
✅ A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
✅ The legal right to work in the UK.
