SEN LSA

Supply Hive are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in High Wycombe.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or LSA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking for a rewarding, long-term position.
The RoleAs an SEN LSA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop their confidence and make progress both academically and personally.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
• Supporting children with a range of SEND needs
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and participate in lessons
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers and other members of the support team
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and confident in supporting children with additional needs.
You will ideally have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Experience within an SEN/SEND setting or supporting pupils with additional needs
• A calm and patient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

Experience with autism, challenging behaviour, complex needs or other SEND would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with transferable experience will also be considered.
