About the Role
Supply Hive are working with a large specialist provision in Bracknell that supports children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of learning difficulties and associated needs. The school is known for its warm, positive culture and its commitment to helping every learner understand the world around them, grow in confidence and become as independent as possible. They’re looking for a nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and support students across the school.
This is a setting that values creativity, collaboration and a solution-focused mindset. Staff work closely with families, therapists and external agencies to make sure each learner’s journey is personalised, purposeful and celebrated.
Responsibilities
🌟 Support pupils with a wide range of learning needs, helping them access a tailored curriculum
🤝 Build strong, positive relationships with children, promoting engagement and independence
📚 Assist with both academic and life-skills-based learning
🛠 Adapt resources and activities to meet individual EHCP targets
🧘 Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour
👥 Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to ensure consistent, child-centred care
🎉 Help create a caring, inclusive environment where students feel safe, valued and able to achieve
Requirements
✔ Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (MLD, SLD, ASD or associated needs)
✔ A patient, upbeat and proactive approach
✔ Confidence supporting communication and behaviour strategies
✔ Willingness to assist with personal care where needed
✔ A genuine desire to help learners grow as individuals
✔ Right to Work in the UK & willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS
