About the Role

Are you a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same?
We’re working with a specialist SEN school in Slough supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. The school has a nurturing, structured environment where staff work closely together to help pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

The role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll provide both academic and pastoral support, working alongside experienced teachers and the wider school team.
You could be supporting pupils with:
  • Autism and communication needs
  • Complex learning needs
  • Social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • Sensory needs
  • Speech and language difficulties
  • Physical or additional needs
The role is highly rewarding and suited to someone who enjoys building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and adapting their approach to individual needs.
You'll support pupils both within the classroom and, where appropriate, during activities, break times and wider school routines.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with children or young people
  • Ideally has experience within SEN or specialist education
  • Is calm, patient and compassionate
  • Can remain consistent when faced with challenging situations
  • Is confident supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
  • Has a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential — we're also interested in candidates with backgrounds in youth work, care, mentoring, sports or other relevant settings.

What's on offer?
  • Full-time, long-term opportunity
  • Specialist SEN school environment
  • Supportive and experienced staff team
  • Excellent experience working with complex SEN
  • Opportunities to develop your SEN knowledge and skills
  • A genuinely rewarding role where you can see the difference you make

At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of students. We offer full assistance to make sure everything is in place before you start.
